Use pressure washers on tires with care

When the weather turns cold, the roads are often wet and dirty, and traces of melted snow, salt and grit have drivers heading for the DIY car wash. As tire manufacturer Continental points out, when using a pressure washer on the tires, keep the nozzle at least 20 cm away, avoid using chemical cleaners if possible and use a broad spray pattern.
