The artificial leather with its authentic leather grain has been comprehensively upgraded, with key performance characteristics noticeably improved once again. skai Parotega NF has been used successfully for many years, particularly in contract applications ranging from healthcare and care facilities to restaurants and hotels. As before, the material meets the stringent B1 fire protection standard, indicated by the NF suffix, which stands for non‑flammable. This makes the material particularly attractive for planners and architects of public buildings.

Thanks to staynu technology, the material is significantly more resistant to abrasion and soiling, noticeably easier to clean, and particularly resistant to disinfectants. In addition, the tear resistance of skai Parotega NF, already known for its robustness, has been further optimized by means of a new, stronger textile backing. The product experts in Continental’s Surface Solutions business area have also improved the material’s environmental performance by using a phthalate-free plasticizer as well as a solvent-free finishing process.

skai Parotega NF has not only been enhanced in terms of material performance. The color range has also been expanded by twelve new options. This brings the total number of available colors to 43. The new, trend-oriented tones range from “chocolate” and “cloud white” to “deep sea” and “golden yellow,” offering a wide variety of options for individual design requirements in contract and interior applications.
