      Beyond Surface - Shape the Future of Automotive Surface Configuration

      There are hundreds of different surface and interior options for cars. Augmented reality opens up new possibilities that make the many interior variants more vivid and tangible for customers. What does your idea of a skillful 3D visualization look like? As part of a team you work on an app solution and develop the future of automotive surface configuration.

      Competition Details

      Your task.

      Connect your programming skills with the world of 3D designers. Together with your team you develop a visual surface configurator including interface. Let the application recognize surfaces and visualize different materials on them using AR. 

      In addition to programming the app, your tasks will include data interpretation and working with a 3D engine. Use CAD object data as well as digital surface data and reinterpret them. Design your own user interface with innovative UI design and use AR for active project acquisition. Convince the jury of your app through skillful visualization and presentation via AR. 

      Your skills.

      The following skills are what you need:

      • Knowledge of programming languages such as C/C++ and Blueprints 
      • Software skills in Unity or Unreal are helpful
      • Enjoy visual presentations, design, team play, solution-oriented thinking and of course the future of mobility
      Your equipment.

      We provide the technology, you bring the ideas – and a laptop with software like Unity or Unreal. All systems are go.
