      The Challenge in Detail

      The task

Today, connected cars are much more than just a way to get around. Offering drivers a constantly growing spectrum of digital services and providing exciting service experiences is becoming more and more challenging.

Continental invites you and your team to develop service-based vehicle apps and directly demonstrate them on the spot. We ask you to think out of the box and make use of blockchain technologies. Do not only concentrate on automotive services, but also consider other industry trends in the areas of smart cities, IoT, smart home, social networks, smartphones or your preferred cloud service. The consideration of personas enables a more realistic and business-oriented environment.

On site, you will be supported by our team of blockchain and cloud experts. Finally, a top-class jury will evaluate your solutions. We and our partners HPE and Crossbar.io invite you to join us on our journey!

      Skills needed

Whether you’re a web developer, embedded engineer, or interaction designer: Use your expertise – and your preferred programming language – to develop a microservice and help your team get ahead.

With our SW framework and available infrastructure, individual microservices can be combined to create a new service. Then the service will be packaged as an app, integrated into our vehicle simulator and tested directly. We recommend starting out by thinking about the customer – find out what they need, then make it a reality.

      • Skills in one of the following programming languages: Phyton, C/C++, HMTL 5, Java Script
      • Interest in Interaction Design, Graphic Design
      • Enthusiasm for innovation and business development (product marketing, pricing)
      • First experiences with Ethereum is beneficial
      The equipment

Outstanding results demand the best working materials! We’ll help you with all the technical resources you need. All you need to bring is your own laptop – and you’re ready to go!

      And the winner is…

There can only be one: The fulfilment of tasks is remunerated with a flat-rate, virtual payment of crypto coins. The free market is represented by the jury, which "buys" your developed applications and services. Which team achieves market leadership with its model?
