Quality and time are crucial to production processes. Each product has to undergo an automatic optical inspection (AOI). This inspection can be used to identify faults in many products that require manual monitoring. This creates a large amount of manual inspection work.
Your task is to develop a solution that can be used to review parts detected as faulty by the AOI system to identify non-faulty parts. You’ll need to develop software with your team to analyze photographs and identify faulty products. To do so, you’ll work with a database of images of good and bad samples, and you’ll have access to Amazon Web Services (AWS) to train machine learning models on powerful computing clusters.
Do you want to optimize processes and use technical solutions to make the world better? Are you an expert in AI and machine learning? Then be part of the action and complete your mission! Work with a team to develop new ideas to make product inspection more efficient and simplify employee work processes.
Outstanding results demand the best working materials! We’ll help you with all the technical resources you need, such as:
- High performance computers/AWS (Amazon web services) access
- Local NAS
- Sample PCBs
All you need to bring is your own laptop – and you’re ready to go!
The jury decides! The results of the inspection have to be visualized. This helps display important key figures for the inspection system. These can be used to clearly show why a product was classified as faulty.
Each participant of the winning team will receive an Amazon coupon worth € 200.
