      eXplore Tires Manufacturing & Engineering Graduate Program at a glance

      Are you more of the hands-on type, love to construct the fine details and care for quality?

      This 18-month Graduate Program offers hands-on experience, where you will learn about every relevant production process used in day-to-day operations and gain experience on every level. It will prepare you for a position at the tire production plant of a global player. 

      Dare to shape the future and take the first step towards a successful career in Manufacturing and Engineering at Continental. 

      What you can expect

      The eXplore Tires Manufacturing & Engineering Graduate Program covers a time frame of up to 18 months and is split into two main phases.

      Phase 1 – Hands-on experience 

      Quality comes from experience. To gain a broad knowledge of tire production, you will start the program with hands-on experience in a real production scenario, where you will stay for 10-16 months. After that, you should be ready for the next big challenge: your very first project in the plant. 

      Phase 2 - Central Stay

      After this initial experience, you will join other Manufacturing & Engineering graduates from all over the world in a graduate pool in Hanover for 6-9 months. Participating in a series of stimulating projects, you will come to understand the tire development process and our global Continental business model. This experience will broaden your knowledge and you will acquire new skills by taking a number of technical training courses. You will be given the chance to use your soft skills and build a global network. In this way you can build lasting relationships with future colleagues, from all over the world.  Besides working on projects in the fields of manufacturing and engineering, you will have the unique opportunity to gain an insight into the research and development processes for tires. In addition, you will cooperate with other eXplore Tires graduates while working on a global business assignment. Throughout this period, you will present your project results to our top management. 

      What your future could look like

      The M&E graduate program prepares you for a position in your home tire plant in the functions of Production, Plant Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Product Industrialization, Quality Management, or Plant Operations.

      Besides exciting job challenges in a performance-oriented working environment, you will take on responsibilities at an early stage. Depending on your potential and demonstrated performance, you will possibly even assume leading functions shortly after the program. By meeting and exceeding expectations, you might even find career opportunities on a global scale.

      What we expect

      • Above-average University degree in tech-affine studies, e.g. Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical), Manufacturing, Science, or Logistics
      • Fluency in English and in the language of your home plant (country of employment)
      • Project experience desired
      • Relevant internships
      • International experience (e.g. internships or studies abroad)
      • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, a committed team player eager to work in a multicultural environment
      • Open minded and ambitious personality, high operational readiness
      • Passion for the automotive industry
