      The eXplore Tires Supply Chain Management Graduate Program at a glance

      Are you passionate about supply chain management, logistics, digitalization, and automation?

      Our 18-​month Graduate Program offers much hands-​on experience. You will take over operational responsibility for dedicated tasks within the entire process chain. Take over responsibility in our planning process, e.g. as a Demand FC Planner planning future sales and customer orders for thousands of different articles or planning the production and distribution of a dedicated article range in one of our tire plants as a Supply Chain Planner. Join our Distribution team and manage the shipment process for containers and trucks leaving our plants to customers across the globe. Or join us in taking tactical decisions on future sourcing strategies. The program will provide you insights into our supply chain process chain from all different angles. After completion you will have the right tools and network to take the responsibility of a meaningful job at your home location in the areas of Supply Chain or Logistics with many further career opportunities within our global team.

      What you can expect

      The duration of the program is up to 18 months, and it is split into multiple assignments.

      Home Location 

      You will spend the first months at your home location to gain first on-the-job experience, learn about all relevant SCM key processes performed at your home location. The focus will be on our processes, systems, and respective goods- and dataflows. In parallel you will also start to develop your personal network in a collaborative environment. 

      Plant & Market Locations 

      You will spend several months in some of our international plant and market locations. The focus here will be on gaining additional perspectives and learn about the day-to-day operational and strategic challenges. Plants and markets might have conflicting targets in the execution of the process chain. With having already seen different locations, you may identify improvement potential and support our continuous strive for optimization.

      Central Stay

      Last but not least, you will join our central SCM team in Hanover, Germany and get to see things on a strategic level. Here, you will also meet your fellow graduate colleagues and benefit from a wide range of trainings and events. 

      During all phases you will work as part of the supply chain team on challenging projects and operational business tasks as well as attending several training courses. This combination of projects, training, and international experience will provide you with excellent skills and ensure you are ideally prepared for your career at Continental.

       

      After the last stage of the graduate program, you will continue your career in your home location and contribute your experiences to its business success.

      What your future could look like

      The program offers you the chance to gain in-​depth knowledge through hands-​on-training, participate in business projects, and have the chance to establish a broad, international network – ideal preparation for a successful introduction to the world of SCM at Continental. After the eXplore Tires Supply Chain Management Graduate Program, there are numerous potential job positions in SCM, e. g. as a Process Manager, Data Analyst, or Central Key User for Supply Chain Planning or Logistics, – all potentially waiting to be filled by you! 

      Your Profile

      • Above average university degree in engineering, economics, business administration, or comparable degree with a focus on Logistics / SCM
      • Initial working experience in Supply Chain Management / Procurement desirable
      • Fluent in English and the language of your home plant (country of employment)
      • Flexibility and the willingness to travel
      • Ambition for high performance
      • Open-minded, responsible team player
      • Delivering results, problem solving & strong analytical skills
      • Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
      • Passion for Automotive as well as Supply Chain Management and Logistics
