Tires back on the road
My job is done when all tires have more than one life.
Name: Anja Schneider
Field of Study: Foreman in Chemistry
Current Position: Quality Engineer
Start at Continental: Apprenticeship 1980
Anja is the kind of person who enjoys everyday interactions with her products and the people she teams with to create them. This is her 39th year at Continental. She started her career at Continental in 1980 in the 'Girls in Men's Jobs' project and completed her foreman in chemistry at the end of the 1980s.
She works in “ContiLifeCycle” Quality Management at our Tires Division – her 14th position in the company. Anja and her colleagues re-tread truck tires and give them a second life. To do this, they repurchase tire carcasses and rebuild them.
“I am proud that I can be a part of this company and would also like to retire at Continental,” Anja says. She is driven every day to put a good tire back on the road and, thus, ensure greater safety for people and contribute to a more sustainable planet.
