      Trucks under power

Broad portfolio from pantographs to power electronics

The market for e-commercial vehicles is picking up. The number of challenges in terms of range and charging infrastructure is also on the rise, driven by ambitious climate change mitigation targets and increasing freight traffic. In contrast to the passenger car market, the market for e-commercial vehicles is still at the beginning of its transition to zero-emission mobility.

New technologies that provide greater efficiency and lower costs are needed, and this is also reflected in Continental’s increased order intake of recent months. At the IAA Transportation 2022 and the Continental TechTalk, the technology company will present its broad product portfolio, ranging from pantographs to power electronics.

One of the highlights: The pantograph for overhead truck lines

The highlights here include the pantograph for power supply in overhead truck lines, such as those that can already be seen on the road near Frankfurt a.M. on the test track: This technology promises excellent opportunities for avoiding CO2 emissions in heavy-duty transport.
