IAA Transportation Preview 2022
The transport industry is gearing up for the future: Tomorrow’s road freight transport will be connected, automated and as sustainable as possible. Continental is one of the leading suppliers of original equipment and the technology company is meeting these changes with foresight. This is why we would like to give you a “warm-up” for the IAA Transportation 2022. At the Continental TechTalk on July 6th, you will learn all about Continental’s current contributions to the future of the transport industry.
The program is planned as follows:
9:30 a.m. CEST: Keynote: The commercial vehicle industry is facing numerous challenges: Sustainability, fair competition, safety and digitalization are playing an increasingly important role. Ismail Dagli (Head of Smart Mobility at Continental) will talk about key current trends and challenges in road freight transport and provides an overview of Continental’s current and future innovations.
10:05 a.m. CEST: The market for electric commercial vehicles is picking up: Continental will provide an outlook on the key challenges in this fast-growing market and present – for the first time – its solutions for e-trucks, including the pantograph for overhead truck lines and the hardware and software portfolio in power electronics.
10:30 a.m. CEST: Make the best use of cargo space – with artificial intelligence. The AI detects and calculates the available cargo space, which is an important contribution to increasing fleet productivity and making transportation more sustainable in these times of scarce cargo space. We will be presenting our solution.
10:55 a.m. CEST: Wrap-up, Break (30 min.),
11:30 a.m. CEST: The Missing Link: Tachograph and vehicle data even in vehicles without telematics, remotely and in real time? The new VDO Link makes it possible! In tandem with the smart tachograph, this is a smart solution to master the significantly increased compliance requirements of the EU mobility package.
12:00 p.m. CEST: Faster and more efficient - Air springs with smart sensors: Megatrends like connectivity and Logistics 4.0 are driving the use of sensor technology. Continental’s “Smart Sensor Air Spring” solution introduces a clever, sensor-actuator combination that enables faster measurement with minimal effort.
At this virtual event, we’ll be exclusively presenting selected innovations well before the IAA Transportation event, which does not take place until September in Hanover. Register now and ask our speakers your questions live in the stream!
