The evolution of environmental detection: What can it accomplish?

      Web Session | September 8, 2020 | 10:00 a.m. CEST

The commercial vehicle industry is facing a number of challenges. Driver shortages, low profit margins and rising numbers of accidents are putting it under pressure. Environment recognition, a rapidly developing technology, is opening up new ways to deal with these problems. The list of possible applications is long, and in the European Union some of them will soon become mandatory when the new General Safety Regulation (GSR) comes into effect. This presentation will show what is driving the evolution of environment recognition, what functions might be used in the future and what these advances will mean for the continued development of assisted driving.
